MMO Games For Linux
By Josh | July 26, 2007
So I decided to give Ubuntu another try since I have been bored on Windows, and I seem to know more of what I am doing since this is like my forth or fifth time installing it. Of course, the first thing I do is get all of the software updated and get my graphics card driver installed. I still don’t have everything installed on it that I used to have, but I’m working on it. Anyways, what I wanted to post about was a great source of MMO (massive multiplayer online) games that I found for Linux.

I like to play games, and I am a big fan of MMO games. I also really like RPG’s, and finding these for Linux can be quite difficult. Of course, you could try installing some Windows games with Wine or Cedega, but there are some games that are made to install on Linux. Kahvipapu has posted a series of posts that contain great information about gaming on Linux, and the one I am referring to is their post on MMO’s. They have games on there that I have never heard of before that look like they could be very fun. One game that looks pretty cool is the Planeshift game. I think I’m going to download that and give it a try. Of course, they also list games like Guild Wars and World of Warcraft, which can be installed on Linux using Wine or Cedega.

The game in the picture looks like a cool game. Maybe one day down the road (if I install Linux) I will get that game.
