Great Tutorial On Installing Compiz-Fusion For Ubuntu Feisty

By Josh | August 9, 2007

I just installed Compiz-Fusion, and I just have to say that it is really nice. I’m comparing it to my experience with Beryl, which is what I have used the past month or so of using Linux. If you don’t know what Compiz-Fusion is, it is basically combining Beryl with Compiz. Kevin van Zonneveld wrote a great tutorial for installing Compiz-Fusion over at his blog. It is step by step, and the procedure is very easy. I was able to copy and paste most of the terminal commands right into my terminal.

If you have used Compiz or Beryl in the past, then you know how nice they are. Compiz-Fusion is even better. I’m glad they are combining these two projects together into one, and I hope to see many great things in the future. Right now Compiz-Fusion is only in beta I believe, but it seems very stable for its current state. Here is a video below of Compiz-Fusion (video from YouTube). Let me know what you think.
