Firefox Campus Edition
By Josh | August 22, 2007
Looks like Mozilla is coming out with a Firefox edition targeted towards college students. I know many college students out there probably already use Firefox, but for those that don’t this will hopefully convert them over. There really isn’t any difference so far with the Campus Edition other than some preinstalled add-ons: Zotero, StumpleUpon, and FoxyTunes; while Zotero seems to be the only add-on that has any relation to college.
The Campus Edition isn’t ready yet for download, so let’s hope they put some other features in. I don’t think I’ll be downloading it since I already use Firefox, and I can probably just install everything that will be included in the Campus Edition. The good thing about this is that I found out about the Zotero add-on. I had never heard of Zotero until today, so it might help me out some in the future.
For those of you that don’t use Firefox, you should seriously consider using it. It definitely is the best browser I have used. There are also other browsers out there that are built on Firefox, like Flock. If you want to go ahead and give Firefox a try, there is a banner at the top of this website that you can click to download (if you are using Firefox, then you won’t see this banner).
