KatMouse – Featured Download

KatMouse is a nice little program that adds a great function to my computer that I have been looking for this week. I’ve been trying to find a way so that if I have multiple windows open I can just mouse over a specific windows to scroll down the page. This comes in handy when I am working in a different window or chatting using an instant messenger and I want to be able to read something on another window without actually having to bring that window to the front.

I first tried TweakVI this week because I saw that it had an option to do mouse tracking. The only problem with this option is that it would completely change the focus to the window that my mouse was hovering over. I didn’t want to lose focus from the window I was working in; I just wanted to be able to scroll down the page of the other window. Well, I did some searching and I couldn’t seem to find any other option other than TweakVI until today.

I found KatMouse listed on Lifehacker, and it does exactly what I wanted. It will not change the focus to the window that your mouse is hovering over. All it will do is allow you to scroll up and down the page that your mouse is currently over. I don’t know why this feature isn’t already integrated into Windows Vista. You should definitely give it a try if this is something that could benefit you.
