Today’s Links: Thumbalizr, AdsBlacklist, and 5 Differences

Here are some more links for my readers. Thumbalizr is a great way to quickly take a screenshot of a website. I often find myself needing to take a screenshot and I don’t want to have to crop it myself. All you do with Thumbalizr is enter in the URL of the website and wait until it gives you the screenshot. Thumbalizr is currently in the alpha stage right now.

If you run a website, then you know how important it is to display ads that relate to your content. Lately I noticed some ads showing up on my site that didn’t seem to have anything to do with what I write about. I decided to look into it, and found out that I should be filtering out ads that I don’t want. This can be a pain to do if you don’t know all of the ad sites out there. Thankfully I found AdsBlackList.com which will create a blacklist of websites that you can copy and paste into your filter. Right now AdsBlackList works with Google Adsense and Adwords, Yahoo Publisher Network, and Chitika eMiniMalls. You can get a free account or a paid account, which gives you a larger and more specific blacklist.

If you are wanting to waste some time, 5 Differences is a great way to do it. I found this little flash game yesterday, and went through it all. It is artistic and challenging. It gives you a series of pictures that you have to find the 5 differences in each. Some of the pictures are so simple looking that it looks impossible to find any differences. I’m not going to give any hints away because I’m sure you can do it without any help.
