Google Talk Now Connects to AIM

Google has been rolling out some updates lately, and one of these is one I have been waiting for a while now. I don’t think that this works on the Google Talk application installed on your computer, but it does work on the Gmail version of Google Talk. I hope they update the Google Talk application soon to allow us to connect to AIM without having to be in Gmail.

If your account has been updated then you will be able to see a new option under the Option menu, which is located at the bottom of the Google Talk app in Gmail. The option will say “Sign in to AIM.” All of your AIM contacts will be loaded into your friends list. If you use the installable Google Talk application for your computer, then you can get your AIM contacts on your buddy list a different way.
