Convert Almost Anything with SUPER

I was searching around today for something that would convert files instead of using an online converter. I usually would just use media-convert.com, but my internet connecting was acting really slow today. I ended up finding SUPER, which is an extremely nice free file converter.

It claims to do what for free what other encoders can’t do for money. I can see why it claims that. I had a few flv files that I wanted to convert to mp3, and it did exactly what I wanted. It also gives you a lot of options for the quality of the conversion. It can also convert video files to other formats.

Once you get used to the layout of the software, it becomes easy to use. It was a little confusing at first when I was trying to figure out where to load the file, but you just right click on the box at the bottom and click Add Multimedia Files on the pop-up menu. I also had a little trouble getting it to work on Vista. I kinda had to trick it into working, but it works now. When installing it, it came up with some error about not being able to install a file, but then I restarted my computer and the program seemed to work. I first had to run SUPER with administrative privileges because it wouldn’t open when I tried starting it normally. Then when I was running it with administrative privileges, it wouldn’t convert files. So then I had to close the program, and then it finally ran normally. Bla! Sometimes I hate Vista.

Once I got it working finally, it was very nice and converted my files quickly. You can also add multiple files to the list, and it will convert each of them if you have them checked. I definitely recommend giving this a try if you have some files you want to convert.
