How Do You Like My New Theme?

As you may have noticed, I changed my theme yesterday on this blog. I thought the old theme was getting too cluttered, and there were a few things that had started to annoy me. The name of this theme is 1stTheme and you can download it here. The creator also has some other nice looking themes. Over the weekend I customized it so that it would look the way I wanted it to when I made it my default theme.

I made the JJJunk logo at the top using Gimp, which was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I had no idea that making web 2.0 logos with Gimp was so easy. I’ll put up a short tutorial on how to make web 2.0 graphics in Gimp within the next week.

I also took out the Adsense ad that was located within the posts. I felt like it just got in the way, and I’d rather focus on the quality of my website rather than the location of my ads. That ad got the most clicks, but it still wasn’t making me a lot of money. Sometimes you have to make a decision like that to help out the overall look of your blog. I also feel like the ad was just in the way of people reading my post. The primary thing I want people to see is my post and not my ad.
