AnyClient - an online FTP client

By Josh | March 13, 2008

Since I’m visiting my family this week back at home I don’t have access to all of my normal software that I use on my desktop. I could of course install all of it again on my laptop, but I don’t want to take the time to hunt down and find it all. I was in need of an FTP client to upload/download some files from my server and I remembered about this online FTP client that I had recently heard about.

AnyClient FTP

AnyClient is a Java powered website that lets you connect to your FTP server and easily upload and download files. It also can connect to FTPS, SFTP, and WebDAV. I really have no use for any of those, but they are there if you need them. All you have to do is type in your FTP information and it will connect to your server and it will show you your local files. It’s very easy to locate and upload/download files. You could also download the client to your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer.

Alternative:

The best installable FTP client in my opinion is FileZilla. I have been using this client for a while now. It is easy to set up and easy to use. It is also available on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
