Install non-installable Windows apps with ZipInstaller

I’ve been reading around on some other tech blogs today, and one thing that I’ve seen a few blogs post about is the ZipInstaller program. Supposedly this will install programs that don’t normally install on Windows. An example would be some type of program that runs off of your thumbdrive, but does not actually install any files onto your computer. These programs are nice, but sometimes it can be more convenient to have them installed so that you can easily access them from an application launcher like Launchy.
What makes ZipInstaller nice is that it will take the zip file of the program that you want to install, and it will extract the files to the location that you specify. It will then create shortcuts for the program in your start menu and desktop. It will also put an entry into add/remove programs so that you can uninstall it later if you want/need to.
I can see myself using this when I download a non-installable program. Whenever I download something like that, I usually always end up forgetting about it, and then it just sits in a folder taking up space. This way I’ll probably use the software since it’ll be easy to access.
