Gmail’s “Custom Time” is a big April Fools Joke!
By Shane | April 1, 2008
Well if you have Gmail as your email client. You probably have noticed a link that says, “New! Gmail Custom Time“. I saw the same thing so I followed the link : http://mail.google.com/mail/help/customtime/index.html.
It takes you to a page that looks convincing, until you read some of the claims.
One claims
“How does it work? Gmail utilizes an e-flux capacitor to resolve issues of causality (see Grandfather Paradox). ”
Another claims
“How come I only get ten? Our researchers have concluded that allowing each person more than ten pre-dated emails per year would cause people to lose faith in the accuracy of time, thus rendering the feature useless.”
I saw this and did some research and found out that this is oneĀ a Google’s many april fools jokes that they do every year.
Last years was: http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/FCDF5CE7-7845-4F2C-9F5F-F3408A8CC395/
I think that this is the best april fools joke I have ever seen.
Happy April Fools Everyone.

Good find, Shane. The reason why you can’t figure out how to add pictures is probably because I updated to Wordpress 2.5 last week, and the whole interface is changed. I’ll have to take a look at it.
