Make Vista look like OS X
By Josh | April 8, 2008
As you may know, Vista has added a lot of its own new visual features. However, these features do seem to take up too many resources. Of course, a lot of people compare Vista to OS X, and there have been many attempts that I’ve seen at making Vista look like OS X. Vista OS X is the latest way to make Vista look like OS X that I’ve seen.
Vista OS X gives you many different options when installing it. You can select whether to install a dock, the system files, visual style, wallpaper, etc. When installing, make sure you have UAC turned off or it won’t install correctly.

The visual style that is installed can be activated through the Windows themes dialogue.

I installed it and gave it a try. It makes the task bar look like the OS X task bar. I couldn’t find where the dock was installed, but evidentally it installs one. I couldn’t see the screensaver in the screensaver dialogue either. Also, it says it includes an uninstaller for easy uninstallation, but I couldn’t find it. I had to use a system restore point in order to get it uninstalled.
If you like the OS X look, then give it a try. It works on Vista SP1.
