Firefox extension CoLT makes copying a links text easy
By Josh | April 17, 2008
Copying the text of a link can be a little challenging when you are trying to highlight the text without clicking it. Luckily, CoLT makes this easier by adding an entry to the right click menu. When you right click a link, you still have the option to copy the location, but you can also copy the text. You are also given five other options: HTML Link, Plain Text, BB Code, FuseTalk, and Wikipedia. These different options allow you to copy the links in the different formats listed.

In the options for CoLT you can add and remove extra entries. If there is some other type of format that isn’t included, then you can easily add it. I personally like the option just to copy it as plain text so that I can get the link text and location. I use this for when I find a link to a site that I may want to write a post on. Then I paste it into my list of post ideas. Give it a try.
