If you don’t know what Grooveshark is, it lets you purchase music from their site that other users upload. The users get points for their account every time somebody buys the music that they have uploaded. The artists also get paid when their music is bought. The money that Grooveshark makes from each song is split between the user, artist, and themselves. It’s actually been around for a while now, and so far they seem to be doing well.

They just launched this new Grooveshark Lite website, which allows you to listen to and stream their whole music collection. It has a very nice interface, and allows you to create a list of music to listen to. I personally think this is a great idea, and I can see this boosting Grooveshark’s sales. I haven’t really used Grooveshark at all since they launched, but I think I’ll start using it more now since they have this streaming music site. Maybe I’ll even buy some music from them.
