Windows Vista Glass for Firefox 3

By Josh | April 22, 2008

If you have Vista, then you know that IE7 uses Aero Glass to make certain parts of it look transparent. This looks very nice, exept for the fact that I don’t use IE7. The How-To Geek has posted a about great addon, Glasser, that actually allows Firefox 3 to use the Vista Glass effect.

I’ve installed this addon, and it looks great. If you hide the main menu bar with the Hide Menu addon, or the Personal Menu addon, it makes it look even better. However, this addon is only in the alpha stage, so it will probably have different issues. I’ve been using it the past two days, and my browser has been crashing every now and then. I figure it is due to this addon, but it looks too good to turn it off.

I might disable it here soon, and wait until a stable version is out. Download it if you want to give it a try.
