Increase Desktop Space with 360desktop

There are different ways to increase your desktop space on Windows, but in my opinion none of them compare to Compiz Fusion’s 3D cube on Linux. Most of what I’ve seen for Windows are the type of programs that add extra virtual desktops to your desktop. There is also Deskspace, which is the closest to Compiz Fusion except you have to pay for it. Now, there is another alternative called 360desktop, which makes your desktop panoramic so that it loops back on itself.
It’s currently in public beta. It’s free for download now, and I think they plan on releasing it as freeware once it is done. Right now, there aren’t many choices for panoramic backgrounds, but in the future you will be able to create your own. 360desktop also embeds web widgets on your desktop, which would be quite useful to the people who like widgets.
I can see this becoming a very useful program as long as the memory usage stays down at a decent level. One problem that I have is that the bar at the top of the screen isn’t movable. Since I have my taskbar on the right side of my screen, it pushes my maximized windows to the left, which then makes the minimize and maximize buttons go behind the 360desktop bar. You can see a video below that gives a whole tour of what 360desktop does.
