Apptism - iPhone App Aggregator

By Josh | September 23, 2008

A while back, I wrote about the Digg like iPhone app website, and now I’ve found a site that I may like better.  Apptism aggregates information regarding iPhone apps that you’ll find in the appstore.  This is helpful for when you want to see some reviews or news articles on an app before downloading it.  It’s also a nice website to just find some new apps that you’ve never seen before.

From the main page, you can sort the results by Free, Paid, Category, Price, and Activity.  This gives a very nice way to find a particular app that you may be looking for.  Clicking on the News tab at the top will open the “Latest iPhone App News” page, which shows all of the iPhone app news articles that have been lately aggregated.  The Reviews tab does the same, but instead shows you reviews.

One other nice feature that I like is the box over on the right side that contains the top apps.  You can have it show you all of the popular apps, top free apps, or top paid apps.

I’m still not sure what the number in the top left corner of the icons represents.  If somebody knows, let me know.

This is definitely a great site to get some information regarding iPhone apps.  Definitely worth a bookmark.  I’m sure there will be improvments as time goes on since it is just in beta.
