Add any Search to Firefox’s Search Bar
By Josh | November 1, 2008
Recently, I’ve had the need to add a search engine to Firefox’s search bar. I had looked around, but I just seemed find articles on how to modify Firefox’s code in some way to get it to work. That is until I read about Add to Search Bar from Make Tech Easier.
This addon makes it very easy to add any search engine to your Firefox search bar. After installing the addon, all you have to do is right click in a search box and click “Add to Search Bar.” You’ll then see that search engine in your drop down list of search options. A good use of this might be to add a search of your own blog to your list, or a custom search engine that you have made from Google.
