Sorting through Wednesday’s Junk
By Josh | November 5, 2008
Going to try to make this into a 3 times a week post. I’ll do a Monday’s Junk, Wednesday’s Junk, and Friday’s Junk post each week. They will consist of links to software, howto’s, websites, etc. that I found interesting but didn’t find that I needed to write a very detailed post on. In no way are these actually junk. I’m just sorting through all of the junk in my RSS reader.
- PopUrls – Aggregation site with ways to easily customize the page. A great website to make your home page. [Via]
- Toggle hidden files with a shortcut key – This feature makes it so that you only have to press the Win+h keys to toggle showing and hiding hidden files.
- Stick – Add some nice looking post it notes to your desktop. They turn into tabs when closed so they don’t waste screen space. [Via]
- Always on Top – Easily make any window always on top of other windows. This guide will show you how to set it up.
- ToYcon – Convert images to icons easily by dragging and dropping them to the ToYcon icon. [Via]
- Chromifox – A very nice theme for Firefox. I’m not much for using Google Chrome, but I do like the look of it. Now you can make Firefox look somewhat like Google Chrome. [Via]
- Create clipboard shortcut – This is a good how-to on creating a shortcut for viewing your clipboard in Windows. There are how-to’s for both XP and Vista.
- CSS Toolbox – A nice looking editor for CSS developers. Offers some advanced features that you don’t normally see in other editors. [Via]
