Bid-O-Matic – eBay Auction Tool
01/20/2009 // 1 Comment // Categories: Internet, Software, Technology, Windows // Tags: auction, bid, download, ebay, freeware, Software, tool, Windows.I’m not much of an eBay buyer/seller, but I do like to occasionally buy something off of there when it seems like it’s the best deal. However, most of the time I find myself using the buy now function because I don’t feel like sitting at my computer making sure that I have the highest bid at all times.
Recently, I bought something off of eBay that didn’t have a buy now option, so I had to make a bid. So of course, being the software geek that I am, I went looking for something that would automate the process for me. Then I found Bid-O-Matic.
Bid-O-Matic is a very easy to use tool that allows you to monitor multiple eBay auctions. It makes it easy to insert the item into the display, and then to insert your maximum bid.
When you first insert your maximum bid, it will not automatically start bidding on that item. It will only start the bidding once the time starts to run out on that item. This way it isn’t creating more competition early on in the auction.
Another feature that can be very useful, is the option of grouping auctions together so that you have a higher chance to win the item you want. Say there are 3 auctions of the same item. You could give them all the same group number and set a maximum bid for each. If you then win the first auction, it will cancel the others. However, if you lose the first auction it will bid on the next one, etc.
The next time you find yourself bidding on something on eBay, you might want to give Bid-O-Matic a try. It’s a free download for Windows. When you first install it, it will not be in English, but you can change this through the “Sprache” menu.
